These magnificent Tree Ferns come from Australia and New Zealand undoubtedly have the elegance that makes it a must for the exotic garden or in fact any garden.

Position: Ferns like the shade or semi-shade and shelter from the wind.

Watering: Tree ferns like their trunks to be completely soaked as well as the crown at least twice a week in the warmer months. If left outside no supplementary watering is needed over the colder months.

Winter Protection: The hardiest ferns just need some straw in the crown of the trunk this will keep heavy frosts off the fronds.  The trunks of the half-hardy ferns should be wrapped in the winter so should smaller specimens of hardy tree ferns.
